Caitlin Trainer- Willard, Ohio

I'm  Caitlin Trainer. I moved from Hobe Sound, FL last summer, and I have lived in Willard, Ohio for about a year now. I attend the Willard Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, and I am an active member of my youth group. I will be a senior this fall at Willard High School and plan to go to college in pursuit of missions. I am not sure where exactly the Lord wants me in the future, but I am excited to see what He has in store for this next month in Gabon!

July 2010

Dear Friends and Family,

I want to thank you for any way you have supported me, whether it be through prayer or financial support. I cannot tell you how excited I am to have this opportunity to work in Gabon under the leadership of missionaries Tim and Meredith Brokopp. The Lord placed overseas missions on my heart at a young age,  and I can't wait to broaden my view of His plan for my life during this next month!
This past year I have learned to adjust to a completely new environment. God has blessed me with awesome friendships and great learning opportunities. It has been a little tough, but my Savior has carried me through!
I am ready for new experiences. I am ready to take some giant leaps of faith. My biggest spiritual weakness is my trust in the Lord. I often forget that He is in control, and I try to take on challenges on my own, while I do not even own myself. I belong to my Creator. I am constantly telling myself to stop thinking and start praying, and as soon as I do this, I can hear God's voice. He is my sustainer of peace. I never want to forget this.
I pray that God will create something new in me while I am doing His work in Gabon. I want to trust Him like I never have before, and I want to be used for His kingdom in ways I never would have dreamed of. I will continue to seek out His will and live for Him alone. I know He will fulfill His promises.
I ask right now that you would pray for the Gabonese people. Ask God to soften their hearts and prepare them to hear the Word, for, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" John 1:1. The Word is GOD! "The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it" John 1:5. I long to be this light in the darkness!  Please pray for the lost people of Gabon to understand it.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will just continue to guide me on this trip and show me where I need to be. I'm prepared to do whatever it takes. I'm ready to be changed and renewed!

I love you all,
Caitlin
